Seachtain Na Gaelige Celebrations at St. Joseph’s, Crossmaglen

On Friday the 12th March ,St .Joseph’s High School, Crossmaglen hosted an extremely successful ceili , organised by the Irish Department. This was one of many activities organised to celebrate Seachtain Na Gaelige. The music was provided by the Cathal McAnulty’s Céilí Band who ensured everyone got on their feet. It was wonderful to see all members of the community partake in the dancing and craic. An art competition was also held, where students designed posters to celebrate this event. The standard was very high and the winners were chosen with difficulty. Throughout the school there has been a concerted effort to be ‘Ag caint as Gaelige’ . St. Joseph’s has partaken in a real celebration of the Irish culture over the last two weeks.
